The Perfect Spring Outfit

I'm sure it's because I haven't had a true spring in a couple of years but this spring has been especially wonderful. This spring has consisted of the smell of jasmine, blooming flowers, my little tomato plant sprouting fresh tomatoes, rolling green vineyards and the smell of BBQ wafting throughout the neighborhood.

We drove into the Napa valley this weekend and it is probably the last time I'll be back for a while. There is truly nothing prettier than Napa in the spring/fall. Even in the summer the vines are stunning! I probably should have rethought the white pants situation as I'm just asking to spill something on them when i wear them, but they seemed more airy for a day walking around Healdsburg. Pair them with a polka dot blouse and you're good to go!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!!

Why Knot {Listen} II

I did one of these last month and I thought it was fun to share what music I'm currently loving. My sister just got home from Italy and also introduced me to a couple new tunes so those are included in this list as well. :)

1. Renegades- X Ambassadors

2. Geronimo- Sheppard

4. The Fall- Imagine Dragons

5. Hold Back the River- James Bay

6. Rivers and Roads- The Head and the Heart

7. Work this Body- Walk the Moon

8. Shoulders- for King & Country

9. The Obvious Child- Paul Simon

10. From Afar- Vance Joy

Also, sorry about the long absence!! It's been a crazy few weeks and I haven't had the same level of motivation as in the past. Hopefully I'll get some new outfit posts shot and some fun, new content up this week. But for now, enjoy the music and let me know what songs you have on repeat!!

Today We Talk About Decorating

Room Love

So as many of you know, I am moving to Oregon after the summer! This means a new place to decorate and make a home and I couldn't be more excited. If I had a rather large budget, than this is what my little office in my room and the living room would look like (that is, if my roommate liked it!).

I saw this couch on Dot and Bo (an amazing website!) and I fell in love. No, really. I showed my sister and I swear I looked like the emoji with the heart eyes. And then that rug.... don't even get me started on how much I want that rug.

I am also really loving everything Gray Malin right now. His photographs are stunning! I would love one of his Italian ones for above my desk so I can transport myself back to one of my favorite places. And then how beautiful is that ocean one? He is so talented.

If you had an unlimited budget, what are some items you would splurge on?

Here's the facts: couch// desk// rug // Italy photo // Ocean photo // clock // state outline // A // records // pillow // vase

I Wanna Be There in My City

San Francisco is awesome for many reasons, but one of my favorites are all of the fun places to photograph. Monica and I had a blast finding cool spots and it was funny watching her jump back into taking photos in public. It was nice to have not only my best friend in town, but also my previous creative director/photographer. ;)

This SKIRT is from Banana Republic and is a classic staple that every girl should have in her closet. I, for one, want all of them for grad school (still so fun to say that!!) and the future. I love how bright and happy this one is. Having a chambray shirt front-tucked into the skirt dressed it down a bit and made it perfect for exploring the city.

The bag is Monica's and she found it in a vintage store back in Tucson. Isn't it a beaut?? And I originally didn't plan on wearing my Burks with this outfit but I like how it helped dress it down even more.

Lastly, the necklace I'm wearing is from the for King & Country concert I went to last Monday. It's an Australian coin and a little crest that is meant to symbolize how every women deserves only the best and is priceless in the eyes of God. Beautiful right? I bought me and my sisters one as little reminders. You can buy one HERE. Also, the concert was amazing and if they are coming to your town, I definitely recommend going.

Here's to the Weekend!

Hey friends!
I'm sure everyone is with me when I say boy, am I glad it's Friday. The last week and a half have been a whirlwind (in the best way) and I'm excited to rest a little bit in the weeks to come. But this weekend I am flying to LA for the day for my friends graduation, going to a of King & Country concert on Monday and then my college roommate is coming to visit for the week!! (jumping up and down like a 5 year old) All that's to say that there won't be much posting next week but stick with me!
I'll be back :)

If you've been under a rock, let me tell you about this article that's been circulating about a woman who left her responsible and sensible life and went to live on an island. I am seriously smitten with this story and LOVE the idea of living this kind of life. LINK here.

Just stumbled upon THIS blog and love it! I love discovering new blogs to add to my list. :)

Loved THIS home tour on The Everygirl. Also, I will forever not be able to say Marina del Ray without saying it like The Californians from SNL. Marrrrinnnaaaa deeeeeeeel Raahhhhhyyy

Have a great weekend!!
