I'm a Little Stuck

I love reading other peoples blogs and every once in a while finding inspiration for my own,
but lately (ever since I returned from Italy) the inspiration and desire to write a
post has dwindled and I feel like I just need to figure some things out in my life right now.
Get myself together after living abroad kind of things.

I'm sure any person who has studied abroad has felt this way, like they changed
while they were gone yet they come home and feel slightly the same and completely different
at the same time. Like life almost stopped and then continued once I came back.
So now I am trying to pick up the pieces and figure out my life back in the States.
What do I want to do? What kind of person do I want to be? How do I want
to improve myself? And honestly, seeing all these blogs and comparing mine to others
and my life to others is not helping very much. So perhaps this is where I take a break.

Have you experience this kind of need for a break in blogging before?

reverse culture shock / i just experience something amazing in my life but nobody understands / who am i really? / where is my life going / how can i get myself by there ...

i know just hot you feel. when i came back from studying abroad in florence i felt so lost. just give it time. you'll get back into the swing of things and you'll start making new memories in the states with your friends here

I totally agree with Nicole. It's difficult to come back to such a different culture (from a magical few months), and not feel a little out of sorts.

I am sure you had all sorts of reflective time in Italy, that's what I missed most, so I did all that I could to find that time (albeit in a different environment) at home.

Little by little, you will start to get back into the swing of things. Until then, take the time to soak up your moments with family and friends!

It's so much easier said than done, but don't allow yourself to compare your life or your blog to others ((I have virtually no right to say that as I catch myself doing it all the time, haha)). But it's true, sometimes a little break from blogland can be really rejuvenating. And focusing on your "real life" life is what fuels your blog - not the other way around! Take some time, breathe and "be still"... See what He's got next for you!

And dude, when I got back from living abroad in London, even though it was an english speaking country and i always felt so at home there, I was thrown for a loop to end all loops! You're not alone in that!
