I put this outfit together and immediately thought I should be solving crimes in the 1950's. Once I stepped out and showed my sister she said, "Who are you trying to be? Nancy Drew?" to which I said, "Of course!" I always envied her outfits and how classy they were. Oh, and did I mention yet that I went brunette?? SURPRISE! (If you follow me on Instagram then you've already seen the surprise.)
I decided that with the new year and the graduation, I needed a change. And whenever I need a change, I usually take it out on my hair. I may go a little lighter in the coming weeks but for now, I really like it.
Also, can we talk about this skirt?? It's from J. Crew when they had that crazy sale a while back (this one is pretty similar!) and it may be the most versatile piece I own. I love that it's high-waisted and I can dress it up or down.
And one last thing! Does anyone else layer their lipstick colors? I've started doing that because one color seems too vibrant against my pale skin and I'm obsessed. I have a lighter pink that I layer under a soft raspberry color and you get the result you see above. It's subtle but adds just the little extra color I need to brighten my face.
